As i write this I go down the memory lane of my younger days where it was full of outdoor activities such as cricket, hockey, other sports, gymming… these were things of the past. Going ahead in life full of stress and work commitments seldom was time to think about health and fitness.
One fine day I realised that my negligence towards health and fitness costed me almost my life when I had a cardiac arrest. I went through major bypass surgery and was recovering but very depressed and was limited to only indoor walking to pump my heart to be normal again. .. I gradually improved and began seriously thinking about my health and fitness. . When I gave a thought about cycling to include in my fitness regime.
I consulted my cardiologist and he gave me a green signal as it would be a great means of cardio vascular exercise. He told me to take care about safe riding…
I aporoached Jyoti cycles and met Ganesh where he suggested me my Merida Matts MTB. After that it was a new beginning. .. I never dreamt I would get back to cycling at the age of 39 and now I am really enjoying my cycling activities. I am not over doing it as per my doctors advice and its only to keep fit and not compete with others.
My son is my main motivator and every morning he reminds of my cycle rides… now I feel that I am doing it for him… to be healthier again… to keep fit n feel younger.. when I ride I feel that there is good support from our cycling fraternity, sports enthusiasts and public. A lifestyle which can lead to a pollution free environment. .. lets go green.. lets enjoy cycling… Cheers to life !!
