Long rides help riders build endurance and through this event our club tried to motivate every rider to scale up their riding capabilities. Riders who completed their 200 KM milestone were awarded with a league badge and certificate from our club.

The league was organized on February 7, 2016 and 31 riders participated.

24 cyclists from the city clocked 200 km in a day cycling from Mangaluru to Kundapura and back on Sunday. In all, 29 cyclists made the attempt while two could do 175 km, another two 125 km and one more 75 km.

The event also saw Kodi village near Kundapura playing host to the cyclists from Mangaluru Bicycle Club thanks to our member Panambur Abdul Khader who had spoken to them the previous day. Our acknowledgment to Chandrakanth Shenoy, who owns a resort in Kodi offered space facilitating refreshments for cyclists & Mr. Arif Kodi for coordinating the entire arrangements.

Club’s founder-member Ganesh Nayak surprised everyone with his plan of riding solo till Indore and complete 2,000 km ride coming back to Pune.
